Work Experience

After graduating from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, Doug spent five years at The Spectrum in St. George. It was then that he transitioned to his time spent at The Daily Herald. Doug held management positions across several newsroom departments, including sports, features/entertainment, and news. With 30 years of experience at The Daily Herald, Doug Fox was the longest-tenured employee before making the switch to Stage Marketing.

Expertise in Entertainment

One of Doug’s highlights while working for The Daily Herald was producing the entertainment section for 17 years. Doug provided extensive coverage of many of the most memorable sports, concerts, and entertainment events over these years. Covering the biggest rock concerts, all 12 games of the Utah Jazz’s 1997 and 1998 NBA Finals matchups with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, 17 years at the Sundance Film Festival, and so much more, Doug had an extraordinary experience in the entertainment department that he’ll never forget.
